Changes in the Board of Directors at Bank Cler
At the General Meeting of Bank Cler, Regula Berger was elected Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
Berger has been CEO of Basler Kantonalbank and Chair of the Group Executive Board since March 1, 2025. She succeeds Basil Heeb, who announced his resignation in autumn 2024. Berger has been a member of the Board of Directors at Bank Cler since 2019.
Two New Independent Members Join the Board
In addition to Regula Berger and Christoph Auchli, Özlem Civelek, Head of the Service Center at the BKB Group, will join the Board of Directors as another representative from the Executive Management of Basler Kantonalbank. Susanne Ziegler and Christian Reuss were elected as independent members of the board.
«Following the elections at the General Meeting, the proportion of women on the Board of Directors of Bank Cler is once again 57 percent, significantly above the Swiss average,» the media release states.
Özlem Civelek has been a member of the Executive Management at Basler Kantonalbank since 2022, with expertise in payments, risk, and IT. Christian Reuss is the former CEO of the Swiss Stock Exchange. Susanne Ziegler brings expertise in risk management, product management, and the digitalization of sales processes. In addition to her role as a board member, Ziegler will also serve on the Audit and Risk Committee of Bank Cler.
Departing from the Board of Directors are Basil Heeb, Maya Salzmann, and Christian Wunderlin.
