Zurich financial boutique and Liechtenstein private bank join forces

ESG-AM, founded five years ago and dedicated to investments in the bond segment (investment-grade and high-yield issuers) with a focus on sustainability (ESG, i.e. environmental, social and governance criteria), is entering into a strategic partnership with Neue Bank.

According to the statement on Wednesday, the aim is to further develop sustainable investment solutions and make them accessible to a broader range of investors. At the heart of the collaboration is the issue of climate transition, that is, the shift from a fossil-fuel-based economy to climate neutrality.

Bond solutions including active engagement

According to the statement, this topic has long played a central role in the client offering for both the Zurich financial boutique and the private bank from Liechtenstein. Neue Bank has offered sustainable equity investment solutions for more than ten years, while ESG-AM specialises in institutional bond solutions and active engagement.

Going forward, the Zurich asset manager, with its sustainability expertise, will support the Liechtenstein bank via its platform, particularly in the areas of engagement and active stewardship, in structuring and scaling the strategies. This would enable the private bank to strengthen its role as an active investor and target companies more effectively in order to drive sustainable developments forward.

Synergies in institutional distribution

In addition, ESG-AM will strengthen Neue Bank's institutional distribution and support it in expanding this business.

ESG-AM, in turn, gains an established investor for its bond strategies thanks to the partnership, gains access to an existing circle of investors and consolidates its position in institutional distribution.
