FGS Global has announced the appointment of Jean-Manuel Richier as Senior Advisor, reinforcing the firm’s Equity Advisory (EA), Investor Relations (IR) and Transaction & Financial Communications (T&F) practice across Europe.
Richier brings more than 35 years of senior leadership experience in global corporate and investment banking. Over the course of his career, he has advised boards and executive teams on capital markets strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and complex cross-border transactions spanning Europe, the United States and Asia.
He has held senior roles at several leading financial institutions, including HSBC, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and J.P. Morgan, working with some of the world’s largest corporates, financial sponsors and financial institutions.
Most recently, Richier served as Co-Head of Global Banking and Head of Investment Banking for HSBC in Continental Europe. Before that, he was Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank plc in Switzerland.
To Expand Advisory and Investor Relations Offering
In his new role at FGS Global, Richier will advise clients on equity market positioning, investor engagement and strategic financial communications. He will also support the continued development of the firm’s Equity Advisory and Investor Relations offering while leveraging his extensive banking and legal network to support broader transaction and financial communications mandates.
Christine Graeff, Head of FGS Global’s Swiss operations and a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee, said: «Jean-Manuel brings deep credibility in both Switzerland and France, combined with a truly global capital markets lens. He is a natural fit for our Equity Advisory platform and will significantly strengthen our ability to advise senior leaders on high-stakes financial and reputational decisions.»
Justin Shinebourne, Partner and Co-Head of the Equity Advisory practice at FGS Global, added: «Jean-Manuel’s experience at the very top of global banking gives him a rare perspective on how boards, CEOs and investors think in moments of strategic change. His insights will be highly valuable to clients navigating capital markets engagement, transactions and investor scrutiny.»
