Nordic Asset Manager Appoints Head of Western Switzerland
After Zurich, now Western Switzerland: DNB Asset Management has appointed Bénédict Fatio as Head of the region. The 44-year-old sales specialist will be based in Geneva and will develop DNB AM’s institutional and wholesale activities in French-speaking Switzerland as well as in other francophone markets.
DNB Asset Management, a subsidiary of the Norwegian financial group DNB, is thereby underscoring its growth ambitions in Switzerland. Only recently, the company established its own office in Zurich. «The region plays a central role in our growth. This appointment confirms our long-term commitment and our intention to create added value for our investors,» says Amra Koluder, Head of International Clients & Distribution at DNB Asset Management.
From Muzinich to DNB
Fatio brings nearly 20 years of experience in asset management distribution. Most recently, he was responsible at Muzinich & Co. in Geneva for building up distribution activities in liquid and private markets. Prior to that, he led business development in Switzerland at Gonet La Française Advisors SA and spent several years at Lombard Odier Investment Managers in various sales roles.
The Norway-based asset manager positions itself in the market as a Nordic «alpha boutique» and manages more than 100 billion euro for institutional and private clients. The firm is known, among other things, for its thematic strategies, including a global technology fund, an Article 9 renewable energy fund, and a liquid alpha fund. In addition, DNB Asset Management has a long-standing track record in Nordic equities as well as in fixed income, ranging from investment grade to high yield.
