Raiffeisen Extends Strategy Period

Raiffeisen intends to define a new group strategy only at the end of 2026. The one-year postponement is intended to ensure that both the future chair of the board of directors and the new CEO, Gabriel Brenna, can actively participate in shaping the group strategy, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday evening.

The election of a new chair of the board is scheduled for the general meeting in June 2026. The current officeholder, Thomas Müller, had announced that he would not stand for re-election. The search for a successor is still ongoing.

Brenna will not take office until December 2025. He will succeed Heinz Huber, who had already announced his resignation in December 2024.
