Credit Suisse Veteran Joins BNP Paribas Wealth Management
BNP Paribas Wealth Management has named Lars-Christian Schnieder as its new head of credit structuring for Germany. Schnieder assumed the newly created position this August in Frankfurt am Main, as he confirmed in a statement to finews.com.
Expanding Credit Capabilities
In his new role, Schnieder is expanding the firm’s financing offerings for German clients, while internationally building out its alternatives-backed lending platform. He reports locally to Michael Bauer, head of financing solutions Germany, and internationally to Manon Breuvart, global head of financing solutions.
Professional Roots at Credit Suisse
Schnieder joins from Credit Suisse in Zurich, where he spent nearly two decades. He was most recently a senior structurer and lending specialist for the Structured Financing Group, the bank’s global lending unit. In this function, he originated and structured bespoke financings for UHNWIs, family offices and entrepreneurs in Europe. In a former capacity, he co-headed the lending team responsible for Western Europe and Asia offshore, within the Credit Suisse global products and solutions division. He originally joined the bank in 2005 as an equity specialist at Credit Suisse Solution Partners.
