Temenos Downgraded to MSCI Small Cap Index

The shares of banking software provider Temenos will henceforth be included in the MSCI Small Cap Index and will no longer be part of the MSCI Global Standard Index, according to the August Index Review.

Another Swiss company, Belimo, has earned its way back into the index: The shares of the Swiss group specializing in electric drive solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning will move from the Small Cap to the Global Standard Index.

Cicor will be upgraded from the Micro Cap to the Small Cap Index, while shares of machinery manufacturer Rieter will be downgraded in the opposite direction. DocMorris and XLife Sciences will also be listed in the Micro Cap Index going forward. The Thurgauer Kantonalbank will be removed from this index.

The index changes will take effect on August 26.

Index membership can influence company share prices, as fund managers often replicate these indices in their investment products.
