J.P. Morgan Elevates Its Swiss Presence

J.P. Morgan is reorganizing its Corporate Banking operations in the DACH region. As of July 1, Lutz Karl—previously responsible for serving large corporate clients (Large Caps) across the region—will relocate to Zurich, where he will lead coverage of Large and Mid Caps in Switzerland.

This was revealed in an internal memo signed by Marcus Hiseman and Stefan Povaly, Co-Heads of Global Corporate Banking (GCB) for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and has been confirmed by J.P. Morgan.

Investment Banking Ambitions

With this newly created leadership position based in Switzerland, the bank is reinforcing its growth ambitions in corporate and investment banking, a strategy previously reported on by finews.com.

Bernhard Brinker, who has already been leading the Mid Cap segment in Germany and Austria, will now additionally oversee the Large Cap segment and other GCB business areas.
