Manuel Ebner Appointed Chairman of AI-Focused Asset Manager

Manuel Ebner is the nephew of the well-known financier Martin Ebner. He has many years of experience in the financial sector. Most recently, he spent 13 years as the Country Executive of Bank of America. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Martin Ebner’s BZ Bank, CEO of Artificial Life, and Partner at McKinsey & Company.

Smart Wealth Asset Management was founded in 2016 and has been developing AI-driven investment products ever since. However, its founder and CEO, Miro Mitev, has been working on artificial intelligence for more than 20 years, developing various models that drive the performance of the corresponding investment products.

Passion for Technology

By analyzing large amounts of historical and current data, the AI models Mitev developed contribute to long-term outperformance and risk-adjusted returns of 13.53 percent per year across all multi-asset portfolios since 2004.

Speaking about his appointment at Smart Wealth, Ebner said: «Since I served as the CEO of Artificial Life more than 25 years ago, I’ve maintained a strong interest in the technology as it combines my passions for both technology and finance. Therefore, when I first heard about Smart Wealth, I was instantly sold on the concept – its consistent outperformance for over two decades is something that very few AI-driven investment managers can boast.»
