The Vikings Are Coming: Nordic Asset Manager Expands in Zurich
DNB Asset Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Norway’s largest financial group, DNB, is opening a representative office in Zurich and appoints Christoph Salzmann as Co-Head Switzerland.
In his new role, he will work alongside Michael Bächtiger to further expand the firm’s client base in the wholesale and institutional segment, the firm announced on Wednesday.
Formerly with Principal
Salzmann previously spent over five years at Principal Asset Management as Head of Fund Distribution for the Swiss market. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at BNP Paribas Asset Management, UBS, and other firms.
«The opening of our new office in Zurich, together with appointment of Christoph, marks a key milestone in our strategic growth,» said Amra Koluder, Head of International Clients and Distribution at DNB AM.
CHF 90 Billion in Assets
The Nordic «alpha boutique» manages more than CHF 90 billion and offers thematic strategies in areas such as technology, healthcare, renewable energy, and Nordic small caps.
Last year, DNB AM launched a Biotech Fund for distribution in Switzerland and recently registered a new Finance Fund, further expanding its offering in the market.
