The independent asset manager, Alpen Partners, has recruited a new private clients services team. Renate Waldner and Thomas H. Dürmüller have joined the firm as partners, alongside the wealth management and executive assistant, Gisela Helbling.

The team, which is based in Bäch and Zurich, came aboard this year. Dürmüller was most recently the head of high-net-worth individuals at the wealth manager, Abalone Zeus Solitaire.
He previously ran his own wealth management firm called Solitaire Aquila, which catered to U.S. and German clients. Earlier he was the head of private banking at AIG Private Bank in Zurich and deputy head of private banking at Julius Baer in Zurich.  Notably, Dürmüller formerly headed the private bank Reyl in Zurich.

Waldner was previously a vice director at Abalone Zeus Solitaire. Before Abalone, she was the COO of Solitaire Aquila and Solitaire Wealth Management. In an earlier capacity, she was a relationship manager at UBS and Bank Julius Baer in Zurich. Waldner began her career at UBS over 25 years ago.

Helbling is part of Alpen Partner’s private clients services team and works closely with the firm's partners and portfolio management team to provide a high-quality service to its clients.

Before Alpen Partners, Helbling was a wealth management and executive assistant at an independent asset manager in Zurich. Prior to that, she worked as a practice administrator and executive assistant at BearingPoint.
