Cembra Increases Net Profit
Cembra presented good figures for 2024: Net profit increased by 8 percent to 170.4 million Swiss francs, net income rose by 7 percent to 550 million francs and receivables decreased by 1 percent to 6.6 billion francs. The loss ratio remains at a solid 1.1 percent.
Cembra also has its costs under control. Operating expenses increased by 1 percent to 264.5 million francs (2023: 262.6 million francs). However, the streamlining of the organization led to a 2 percent decrease in personnel expenses to 134.8 million francs.
Decrease in the Cost/Income Ratio
Operating expenses rose by 3 percent to 129.7 million francs.
All of this led to a decrease in te cost/income ratio to 48.1 percent (2023: 50.9 percent). For 2025 as a whole, Cembra is aiming for a cost/income ratio of less than 45 percent.
The good performance in 2024 will pay off for shareholders, as the dividend is to be increased by 6 percent to 4.25 francs per share.

New IT Platform in the Leasing Business
Last year, Cembra successfully introduced a new IT platform for the leasing business that increases efficiency.
The company also expanded its portfolio of proprietary cards and co-branding partnerships. This paid off in the form of higher interest income and commissions.
The credit card offering was expanded to include additional services, including insurance products.
Furthermore, the technology and service location in Riga, Latvia, was expanded.
