Sompo, a global provider of property, liability and specialty insurance as well as reinsurance for companies and private customers, has appointed Andreas Hasler as Head of Distribution & Client Relationship Management, Insurance for Switzerland with immediate effect. According to the press release issued on Thursday, Hasler will be responsible for managing all of Sompo's broker and client relationships in the primary insurance sector in Switzerland.

Hasler will be based in Zurich an report to Christoph Müller, Country Manager, Insurance for Switzerland, and Herndon Stokes, Head of Distribution & Client Relationship Management, Insurance, Continental Europe. Müller himself only joined Sompo in July from Allianz Risk Transfer, where he was most recently CEO and Head of Distribution of Allianz Commercial Switzerland, as reported by finews.ch.

40 Years of Experience in the Insurance Industry

Hasler has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. The new manager also comes from the Allianz Group. He has been Head of Distribution at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty since 2006 and has also been Deputy CEO of Allianz Risk Transfer Switzerland since 2018.
