Board Change at Glarner Kantonalbank

GLKB has proposed Angela Petruzzi as a new board member to replace the outgoing board member Benjamin Mühlemann, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

Mühlemann served on the bank’s supervisory body from 2021 to 2024 as a representative of the government council. Following the unexpected death of former Board Chairman Martin Leutenegger, earlier this year, Mühlemann agreed to step in as an independent member for a one-year transition period.

Experience in Business Consulting

Petruzzi, the proposed new board member, is the owner and managing director of Petruzzi GmbH as well as Erich Fischli & Partner KLG in Näfels. Her responsibilities include accounting, tax, and business consulting, auditing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and supporting restructuring efforts. She also serves as deputy head of finance for ESAF 2025 Glarnerland+. Previously, she held a long-term position as an audit manager at consulting firm BDO in Lachen and Glarus, where she was appointed deputy director in 2018.
