Wealth Tech Firm Appoints New Head for the Middle East
Qplix is strengthening its presence in the Middle East by appointing Natalie Rotermund as Head of Middle East. The appointment underscores the strategic importance of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, region as a growth market for the company, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
Rotermund brings extensive experience in international wealth management and in building digital platform businesses. Prior to joining Qplix, she held senior positions at other wealth tech providers, including Altoo and Masttro, where she was responsible for developing complex mandates in Europe and the Middle East. She began her career at Credit Suisse as a relationship manager for high net worth private clients. Rotermund also serves as a member of the board of directors of a European family office based in Zug.
Building a Local Presence
In her new role at Qplix, she is tasked with developing and scaling the GCC region as a growth market. «Her focus will be on building a high-performing local team, strengthening existing client relationships, and developing new strategic partnerships in the region.» This also includes establishing a local presence, although Rotermund will remain based in Zurich.
Christoph Wendel, Managing Director and Head of Sales at Qplix, commented: «Natalie combines in-depth market experience with a deep understanding of the needs of family offices. The Middle East is an extremely dynamic region, and her perspective will be crucial as we continue to expand our international footprint.»
