Swiss Equities Broker Counters Rumours

The three-day conference took place last week in Bad Ragaz. More than 70 Swiss companies and around 300 investors attended the event, according to a statement. In addition to Swiss equities, topics such as ETF trading and digital assets were also on the agenda.

The bank also used the conference to dispel speculation about an alleged decline in the prioritisation of the Swiss market. CEO Morgan Deane made it clear that Baader Helvea intends to continue expanding its presence in the domestic market. The consolidation of research production in Paris, along with the cooperation with Erste Bank, has expanded coverage to more than 750 European companies, creating one of the broadest research universes in the market.

The company also pointed to recent expansion efforts: the Zurich office has been strengthened in the areas of sales, sales trading and corporate access management. «These changes enable us to deliver even greater value to the Swiss market while simultaneously leveraging European scale,» said Oliver Riedel, deputy CEO of Baader Bank.

Helvea is a subsidiary of Baader Bank. The independent Swiss equities broker Helvea was acquired by the German financial group in August 2013.
