Private Markets Platform Steps Up Swiss Strategy

In a statement on Tuesday morning, London-based Titanbay said the newly formed board will act as a local sounding board, providing market insight and industry expertise to support the firm’s expansion in Switzerland and across the wider EMEA region.

Titanbay operates a technology-driven infrastructure platform that enables private banks, wealth managers and asset managers to design, launch and manage private market programs. The company positions itself as a bridge between private market fund managers and private wealth distributors, combining operational, regulatory and technological capabilities.

Former UBS, Swiss Life, and Julius Baer Executives

The Swiss Advisory Board includes Stefan Mächler, former Chief Investment Officer of Swiss Life Group, and Yves Robert Charrue, former Executive Board member and Head of Switzerland and EMEA at Julius Baer. Both bring decades of experience in investment management and private banking.

They are joined by Michael Gruener, Co-CEO of Titanbay, who has more than 20 years of experience in global asset management and has worked extensively with Swiss private banks.

Growing Demand

The board is chaired by Timo Paul, Head of Switzerland at Titanbay. He joined the company last year, as reported by finews, is based in Zurich and previously held senior roles at Natixis Investment Managers, UBS Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management.

According to Titanbay, the move is intended to ensure close alignment with local client needs as demand for private market access among private banking clients continues to grow.
