Pensador Partner: Leadership Change Follows Anniversary Year
Pensador Partner completed a generational transition at the beginning of the year. After 30 years in a leading role, co-founder Thomas Kaufmann stepped down as CEO of the independent asset manager. He has been succeeded by Rolf Bär, according to a statement released on Thursday.
Bär has been a partner, shareholder and member of the executive management of Pensador Partner for five years. Kaufmann will remain with the company as a client advisor.
This transition is intended to ensure continuity in leadership while at the same time creating room for further strategic development.
Pensador Partner was founded in 1995, initially operating under the name Von Graffenried, von Burg, Kaufmann, Winzeler Vermögensverwaltungs AG. Following the acquisition in 2017 of the shares previously held by the majority shareholder, the private bank Von Graffenried, the company adopted its current name. It maintains offices in Zurich, Baden and St. Gallen.
