Zurich Virtual Family Office Expands
Discretion is everything when dealing with wealthy clients — especially Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. For this reason, Mosaik Capital has refrained from putting up any signage at its offices near Zurich’s Bellevue. Until recently, the wealth advisor did not even operate a website.
Yet lack of demand was never an issue — quite the opposite. «Demand is enormous. We are growing very quickly,» says founder Thomas Herrmann. Until now, Herrmann, a former Credit Suisse banker, operated together with Roger Signer, a specialist in wealth and asset management. Due to the strong demand, they have now expanded the team. The newest addition is Felix Oeschger.

Board Member of the Single Family Office Association
Before joining, Oeschger — who previously served as Head Private Banking Zurich at Julius Baer and Head Swiss Clients at Lombard Odier — worked for a single family office of a well-known Swiss entrepreneurial family. As a board member of the Single Family Office Association (SFOA), he played a significant role in further professionalizing the industry.
He describes the move as a new challenge, as Mosaik Capital fundamentally differs from traditional wealth managers.
Investment Office as a Service for Wealthy Families
Mosaik Capital is a Virtual Family Office: it provides wealthy families with an investment office as a service. The company sees itself as a strategic partner for families, entrepreneurs, and foundations, supporting clients in all matters related to wealth, structuring, and oversight.
«To achieve this, we bring together the best specialists and the most compelling approaches available on the open market — into a tailor-made investment mosaic,» says Oeschger.
No Product Distribution
Unlike traditional wealth managers, Mosaik Capital does not distribute products. Instead, it advises families on asset allocation. It is similar to football, Oeschger says: «There are the club owners and the coaches. The families are the club owners, and we see ourselves as the coaches who ensure the game is played properly.»
Instead of giving instructions to strikers and defenders, they guide banks and asset managers. Mosaik Capital is paid directly for its advisory services. This builds trust, Oeschger notes: «Our craft must be extremely good — then the clients will come.»
The formula appears to be working.
