UBS Plans to Repurchase a Series of Credit Suisse Bonds

UBS Group and UBS have launched repurchase offers for seven outstanding bonds. The offers apply to various series of debt securities, according to a statement released on Thursday.
All seven bonds were originally issued by Credit Suisse. Six of them amount to a total volume of 12,7 billion US dollar, while one bond has a volume of 3 billion euro. The original maturities ranged from 2027 to 2033, and the coupon rates range between 4,282 and 9,016 percent.

The purpose of the buybacks, the bank said, is to optimize its capital structure and manage interest expenses.
