PostFinance Hires Business Development Expert from UBS

PostFinance has named Christian Mähr as Chief Development and People Officer (CDPO). He will assume the position on January 1, 2026, according to a statement released on Thursday.

Mähr brings over 20 years of experience from leading Swiss and international banks. He joins PostFinance from UBS, where he most recently served as Head of Partnerships & Ecosystems, responsible for strategic initiatives and partnerships in the retail and corporate client segments. Before that, he oversaw the nationwide SME business and led the development of the digital corporate client offering. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Commerzbank and Zürcher Kantonalbank.

The role of CDPO was newly created as part of the bank’s new «Pulse» strategy and encompasses the areas of strategy, innovation, data, and human resources.
