Litigation Specialist Moves from Pestalozzi to Advestra
The Zurich business law firm Advestra is expanding into litigation and has appointed Lukas Rusch to build the new team. Founded in 2020, the firm is diversifying its practice beyond its existing focus on transactions, mergers and acquisitions in particular, regulation, and tax
The specialist in litigation and international arbitration joined Advestra in early October and now heads the newly established dispute resolution practice, according to the announcement.
Experience in Dispute Resolution
Rusch brings more than ten years of experience in complex commercial disputes, particularly in financial services, pharma/medtech, post-M&A cases, joint ventures, shareholder conflicts, and construction projects.
Most recently, he was a partner in the arbitration team at Pestalozzi, Switzerland’s oldest major business law firm (founded in 1911). There, he acted both as counsel and arbitrator in international proceedings, including cases before Swiss courts and under the rules of leading arbitral institutions.
Thomas Reutter, Chairman of Advestra, commented on the appointment: «He is technically outstanding, has an impressive market presence, and fits in perfectly with us—both through his calm, thoughtful manner and his strong team spirit. With him on board, we can provide even broader support to our clients, especially when transactions lead to contentious disputes.»
