Lucerne Fintech in the Running for Prestigious Award
The two founders of finpension, Beat Bühlmann and Ivo Blättler, have been nominated in the «Visionary Entrepreneurs» category for the Swiss edition of the international award.
They share their finalist spot with the meteorology startup Meteomatics and the digital real estate broker Neho. The winners in all three categories will be announced on October 17 in Bern.
Independent Jury, Strict Criteria
The «EY Entrepreneur Of The Year» is one of the most important accolades in entrepreneurship and connects a long-established network of more than 50,000 entrepreneurs across 60 countries.
An independent jury selects the finalists and winners based on strict criteria, with a focus on innovation, entrepreneurial vision, and sustainable business success. In Switzerland, the award is being held for the 28th time.
A Rare Swiss Fintech Success Story
«Beat Bühlmann and Ivo Blättler are pioneers in digital pension solutions and have built a platform that puts simplicity and transparency front and center,» the jury said in its remarks.
finpension has also achieved business success that only a handful of Swiss fintech startups can claim.
Banking License on the Horizon?
As finews.com reported in April, the company – founded only in 2016 – managed more than 3 billion Swiss francs in assets at the end of 2024.
The founders are also pursuing a banking license, aiming to expand the business model and eventually offer mortgages alongside its pension and wealth management services.
