Business-Monitor Changes Hands

Coface, a credit insurer with approximately 5'200 employees operating in 200 markets worldwide in the fields of trade credit insurance, business information, debt collection, and project risk protection, is acquiring 100 percent of Lausanne-based start-up Novertur International, the operator of the platform business-monitor.ch.

Since 2016, the platform has provided access to data on over 730'000 active Swiss companies and is primarily used for risk assessment and B2B prospecting.

Strengthening in the Business Intelligence Sector

With this acquisition, Coface aims to strengthen its position in the Swiss market for business information, according to a press release issued last week.

The acquisition «underscores Coface’s commitment to establishing ourselves as a key player in the business intelligence sector,» said Christian Moins, Country Manager of Coface Switzerland.

Internationalization of the Technology

Florent Schläppi, CEO and founder of Novertur International, described the deal as an opportunity to bring the technology of business-monitor.ch to a new and international level.

The completion of the transaction is still subject to the «customary closing conditions.»
