JAR Capital Expands in Singapore
The Switzerland-based and globally active asset and fund manager JAR Capital is acquiring Lyra Capital, a multi-family office in Singapore, via its local subsidiary. According to a statement issued Thursday, the acquisition is intended to accelerate the firm’s expansion in Asia’s high-growth markets.
The company aims to position itself as one of Singapore’s leading external asset managers. As a result of the acquisition, assets under management in Singapore will rise to over 1 billion dollar.
Workforce to Double
The combined team will operate from JAR Capital’s newly expanded offices, and the number of employees will double to 18.
The transaction is structured as a cash-and-stock deal and is expected to close by the end of July 2025. The founders of Lyra Capital will become shareholders and directors of the Singapore-based subsidiary, JAR Wealth Management, and will serve as board members and client advisors to ensure continuity following the integration.
Strong Growth in Asia
The acquisition marks a major milestone. «In less than three years since our founding in Singapore, JAR Capital has grown from zero to over one billion dollars in assets under management,» said Tim Walter, CEO of JAR Wealth Management. He added that the firm will now expand its client base in Asia with a strong focus on Japan, while enhancing its investment platform and services.
«Integration is about scale, but even more importantly about synergies and shared values. We are bringing together two companies with complementary clients, cultures, and competencies,» Walter added.
