With the MC20, Maserati opened a new chapter in its brand history back in 2020. The MCPURA continues this path with targeted refinements, while remaining closely aligned to its predecessor in terms of core technology. The heart of the vehicle remains the 630 hp Nettuno V6 engine, featuring Formula 1 technology — though several aspects of the overall package have been further enhanced.

With a power-to-weight ratio of 2,33 kg per hp, the MCPURA remains one of the top contenders in its class. This is made possible by a chassis built from carbon fiber and composite materials, offering high rigidity with low weight. Maserati also revised the aerodynamics in collaboration with Dallara.

World Premiere in Vibrant Colors

For its debut at Goodwood, Maserati has given the MCPURA a distinctive look. The exclusive Ai Aqua Rainbow paint is a shimmering blue with rainbow reflections. The coupé version comes in a matte finish, while the convertible (Cielo) shines with a glossy coat.

Maserati’s iconic trident logo appears in magenta with blue shimmer, complemented by matching design elements on the wheels. These color accents continue consistently inside the cabin. The Alcantara Ice seats feature the trident logo in a laser-etched graphic, while the seat backs shift between red and blue hues.

Reworked Exterior

The front of the MCPURA now appears even more dynamic with its prominent shark nose, a nod to Maserati’s racing heritage. The front bumper draws inspiration from the GT2 Stradale, though it presents a more elegant interpretation.

An optional larger rear spoiler is available to emphasize the car’s sporty character. The lower body also features new highlights: glossy black replaces the previously used dark Myron, creating stronger light reflections. The MCPURA emblem is also integrated into the interior on the passenger side of the dashboard.

Alcantara Interior Instead of Leather

The interior is dominated by Alcantara: seats, door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel are all covered in the material. Thanks to its light weight, grip, and temperature resistance, it is especially suited for high-performance vehicles.

The new steering wheel, inspired by the GT2, features a flattened top, intuitive controls, and large paddle shifters. The start button is mounted directly on the steering wheel. For the coupé version, an optional LED shift indicator is also available.

Light, Fast, Exclusive

Weighing under 1,500 kilograms and powered by a 630-horsepower engine, the MCPURA remains a true lightweight among supercars. At the same time, it aims to meet high standards in comfort, luxury, and design. The aerodynamics have been precisely refined — particularly in airflow management, cooling, and downforce. The underbody is specially shaped to optimize airflow efficiency.

The name MCPURA, referencing the formula E = MC PURA, is a play on Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, symbolizing the pure energy embodied by the Italian luxury coupé.

Maserati has yet to release any pricing information. Fans of the brand will be eager to see how the MCPURA is positioned at market launch — and what Maserati plans next to replace its aging models such as the Levante, Ghibli, and Granturismo.
