The Raiffeisen Unternehmerzentrum (RUZ), located in The Circle at Zurich Airport and serving the German-speaking part of Switzerland, will be transformed into a center of competence for business succession, according to a statement from the bank. Certain services previously offered will be discontinued, and the restructuring will also have staffing implications.

The new department will be integrated into the corporate clients division of Raiffeisen Switzerland, with the changes taking effect on January 1, 2026. The new center of competence aims to support companies in developing and implementing succession solutions and will work closely with local Raiffeisen banks and regional corporate client centers.

High Number of Pending Business Successions

Switzerland’s second-largest banking group points to the persistently high number of unresolved business successions. Other offerings of the RUZ—such as workshops, training programs, and the RUZ Club—will be discontinued by the end of the year. The change is intended to enable more targeted support and more efficient structures.

A spokesperson told the news agency AWP that the reorganization would involve a single-digit number of job cuts. Those affected will be supported in finding successor roles.
