BIL Suisse Strengthens Board With Legal Expert
The seasoned attorney succeeds Alain Le Fort, who stepped down after 22 years on the board, BIL Suisse announced in a press release Wednesday.
Stéphanie Hodara El Bez has been a partner, chairwoman of the board, and head of the banking and finance team at the Altenburger law firm, which operates in Zurich, Geneva, and Lugano, since 2008.
Well Connected
She brings extensive experience in the Swiss financial sector and has strong ties across both the Swiss and Luxembourg financial industries. Jeffrey Dentzer, Chairman of BIL Suisse, said her appointment «will play a pivotal role in helping us navigate new opportunities, particularly in the context of market expansions.»
BIL Suisse is the Swiss subsidiary of the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), which is majority-owned by Chinese conglomerate Legend Holding.
Sale Rumors
The parent company recently sold its Luxembourg fund services provider BIL Manage Invest to Waystone.
Rumors that the Swiss private bank itself was also up for sale were firmly dismissed by BIL Suisse CEO Hans-Peter Borgh. In a recent interview with finews.com, he reiterated that the group remains committed to its Swiss business.
