More Net New Money: What Boosted Vontobel
Assets under management at Vontobel rose by 6,0 billion francs in the first quarter compared to the end of 2024, reaching a total of 235,1 billion francs. This corresponds to a growth of 2,6 percent, according to a statement released on Thursday.
The increase was also impacted by the acquisition of IHAG clients, as Vontobel noted further. Market performance contributed 6,0 billion francs to the growth. A net inflow of 0,6 billion francs was offset by negative currency effects of the same amount.
Sustained Strong Inflows from Private Clients
The growth occurred against a backdrop of political uncertainty and increased market volatility.
Net new money inflows from private clients amounted to 2,4 billion francs. Vontobel highlighted sustained strong inflows in core markets and mandate solutions.
Net outflows from institutional clients totaled 1,8 billion francs, as positive inflows in fixed-income investments were offset by outflows in active equities.
