During her more than four years as CEO, Jain made a notable impact on the growth and development of the Aquila Group, according to company founder and Chairman of the Board, Max Cotting, in his remarks to finews.com.

«After more than ten years at Aquila, it is time for me to realign my professional career,» Jain explained.

Back to Aquila

Jürg Furrer, the designated CEO, is no stranger to Aquila. Between 2004 and September 2013, he held several leadership positions at the company, most recently as Head of Asset Management and Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

Afterward, Furrer moved to US asset manager Pimco, where he served as Deputy Managing Director in Switzerland until March 2020. He later oversaw the Wholesale Division at Fidelity International until June 2023 and then joined Zürich-based Globalance Bank as Deputy CEO in July 2023.

More Than 90 Partner Firms

«Jürg Furrer’s deep familiarity with Aquila ensures a seamless transition in our leadership,» Cotting noted. Furrer is expected to further drive the group’s development in what is described as an «extraordinarily challenging environment.»

The Aquila Group comprises a service platform for independent asset managers in Switzerland and a custodian bank. Since its founding in 2000, the company has grown to include more than 90 partner firms, managing assets totaling over 21 billion francs.
