The Zuger Kantonalbank (Zuger KB) has appointed Marcus Slöör as the new Head of Wealth Management and member of the Executive Board. Starting June 1, he will be responsible for the Private Banking and Wealth Services divisions as well as the bank’s Investment Office, according to a statement by the bank.

Slöör succeeds Petra Kalt, who left the institution last autumn after leading the department for about nine years. Following her departure, Dominik Fehlmann assumed the role on an interim basis.

Extensive International Experience

Until August 2024, Slöör served as Managing Director in the Wealth Management division at Credit Suisse (CS) in Zurich. There, he held the roles of Market Group Head UK International and Head of Shared Relationships Europe. Prior to that, he spent several years in CS's Private Banking unit in Singapore. From 2014 to 2018, he led the business serving high-net-worth clients in the Malaysian market, before taking over responsibility for Private Banking in Thailand and Vietnam. In 2020, he also assumed leadership of the business in the Philippines.

Career Began at UBS in London

Slöör began his professional career in 1999 in UBS’s investment banking division in London. In 2005, he moved into Wealth Management and from 2012 to 2013 served as Managing Director responsible for the Nordic region.

Slöör is a Finnish citizen and grew up in the Ägeri Valley. He holds a Master’s degree in Law (lic. iur.) from the University of Fribourg. With his move to Zuger KB, he will once again make the canton of Zug his home, the bank added.
