Departure from the Executive Floor of Berner Kantonalbank
Mark Haller has held various positions at Berner Kantonalbank (BEKB) over the past 27 years. He has worked in the areas of credit management, controlling and sales, among others.
In 2014, he took over as Head of Organisation and IT. Haller has been a member of the Executive Board of BEKB since January 2018. He has now decided to leave BEKB and pursue a new professional direction, as the financial institution announced on Friday.
Succession Planning Underway
During his time in office, Haller drove forward the implementation of many projects in the area of digitalization and made a significant contribution to increasing efficiency within the bank. He was also responsible for the reorganization of the outsourced IT into a separate IT subsidiary.
As a member of the Board of Directors of the newly founded subsidiary aity, he helped shape its development and played a key role in ensuring secure and stable transitional operations. He will remain in office until the end of December 2024. By all accounts, the proper succession plan has been put in place immediately.
