Lombard Odier Brings Veteran Banker on Board

Lombard Odier has appointed Nicolas Walon as new Head of Global Market Services (GMS). He will assume the role at the beginning of March 2025, according to an internal memo from the bank obtained by finews.ch.

Walon will report to Michael Strobaek, Global Chief Investment Officer, and will also be a member of the Investment Solutions Management Committee.

The seasoned banker has a long career behind him and brings 25 years of experience in cross-asset derivatives markets, according to sources.

Walon joins from Bank J. Safra Sarasin, where he was Head of Financial Engineering and managed the ELUS platform. He previously held management positions at investment banks in London and New York, most recently at Barclays. Prior to that, he also worked at Deutsche Bank, Calyon (Credit Agricole), Credit Lyonaise and KPMG in the Netherlands, as can be seen from his Linkedin-profile.

The division is currently headed ad interim by Paul-Andre Pittard.
