Raiffeisen Withdraws Fund Management From Vontobel

Raiffeisen will take over the asset management of the actively managed Futura funds on its own in the future. An exception to this is the Raiffeisen Futura Immo Fund, according to a press release from Friday.

The cooperation with Vontobel, agreed upon until mid-2027, will not be extended. Other areas of collaboration are not affected by this decision, the bank emphasizes.

Expanded expertise

In recent years, Raiffeisen has continuously expanded its expertise in the pension and investment business, the statement continues. The takeover of the management of its own asset management mandates in 2018, as well as the ongoing implementation of the «Raiffeisen 2025» strategy, are mentioned.

This know-how in the investment business provides optimal conditions for taking over the management itself.

The shift in the management of the active Futura funds allows for comprehensive, internal management of Raiffeisen's investment solutions and products. The bank's position as an investment bank and its standing in the domestic investment market will be strengthened.

Fund management at UBS

UBS Fund Management will take over the fund management in the future, and the new custodian bank will be UBS Switzerland. The major bank already holds these positions for the Futura II fund.

Vontobel states that the transition process will be carefully managed to ensure seamless service for all involved clients. «The impact on the group's earnings in 2027 will be minimal,» the bank writes.
