Pimco: New Switzerland Chief Comes from London

Davide Gysi will replace Patrick Beuret as Country Head for Switzerland starting October 1, 2024, Pimco announced on Thursday. Beuret is retiring.

Gysi is currently Executive Vice President and Account Manager at Pimco’s London office. In his current role, Gysi oversees the family office business in Europe and global wealth management for the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Over the past few years, he has worked closely with Beuret and reported to him.

Graduated in Switzerland

Before joining the bond manager in 2013, he worked in investment banking at Société Générale and Lehman Brothers International, where he was responsible for the sales of structured products and derivatives. He has 15 years of experience in the investment sector and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master’s in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen.

In his new role, Gysi will be based in Zurich and will lead Pimco’s business in Switzerland, overseeing client and business management functions. He will maintain his leadership role in Pimco’s family office business in Europe.

Like Beuret, Davide Gysi will report to Ryan Blute, Head of Global Wealth Management in Europe, and Frank Witt, Head of the DACH Region, Benelux, Nordics, and Central & Eastern Europe.

Good conditions for an expanded role

«With over a decade of experience at the company, Davide brings extensive knowledge in institutional and global wealth management,» says Witt, highlighting Gysi’s specialization in the family office business. «This positions him perfectly for this expanded role.» He further thanked Beuret for his many years of service: «His commitment and leadership have been crucial in strengthening PIMCO’s presence in Switzerland.»
