Geneva-based Bank Syz is hiring Charles-Henry Monchau as its chief investment officer effective October 1, according to an emailed statement Friday. Monchau will lead discretionary portfolio management and the advisory department while working closely with Nicolas Syz, who heads private banking.

Prior to his appointment Monchau was chief investment officer and chief commercial officer at FlowBank. He has held various C-level positions in Geneva, Zurich, Dubai, Nassau and Paris, according to the bank's statement.
