The 51-year-old Belgian wealth manager came to the job unexpectedly – and with a clear mandate to recruit, a job that had previously fallen to heavy-hitting CEO Juerg Zeltner. The Qatar-controlled private bank has snagged several high-profile hires since then, bringing its total staff in Switzerland to roughly 80 people, from a skeleton staff of less than 20 before it closed Bellevue in May.

In 2021, Fievet needs to show the Swiss unit – a linchpin in Quintet’s European plans, alongside the U.K. and Luxembourg – can haul in assets as well as it can hire.
